Significant Upgrades from the Previous Year
Toyota gave a completely new revamp to the 2023 model from its 2022 Prius version. The outside has a more rigid but leaner design, maximizing its style and aerodynamics. Further, the brand replaced the 121 hp 1.8 L engine with a 2.0 L engine that gives you up to 195 hp. This engine gives an entirely new performance to the 2023 model.
Power and Performance
This vehicle enjoys a new 2.0 L engine and a 74 hp increase from last year. That makes this hybrid stand out above its rivals, delivering a faster drive while maintaining a low fuel economy. While the brand didn’t release a towing capacity, the vehicle’s payload is 449 kg for the XLE and 424 kg for the Limited trim.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The interior delivers comfort in style, with SofTex seating standard on both trims. While both models have heated front seats and an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat, the Limited version also has heated rear seats. However, the cargo space has decreased slightly, now delivering 575 L of space. You’ll also find a fixed glass roof panel with a retractable sunshade is now standard on the Limited.
Technology, Infotainment and Connectivity
While the XLE starts with an 8″ infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Limited trim upgrades to a 12.3″ multimedia infotainment display. Six speakers also upgrade to an eight-speaker JBL sound system.
Both vehicles have 7″ TFT colour multi-information instrumentation. Automatic Climate Control is available in both, with a leather-wrapped, heated steering wheel.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
Both trims boast the Toyota Sense 3.0 systems, which include a Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Further, both have features like Blind Spot Monitoring, a Backup Camera, and various airbags. The Limited model even has a Panoramic View Monitor. Both trims also have a Smart Key System and an engine immobilizer.
