2023 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid
2023 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid Review
The Toyota Sequoia came to the market in 2008, and now in 2023, we will be able to welcome the all-new 2023 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid in Barrhaven, Ottawa. So what can we expect in the all-new 2023 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid? This redesigned eight-seater shares its hybrid power train with the Tundra, but that is not all.
Drivetrain
The new Sequoia comes standard with the iForce MAX Hybrid motor. This is a 3,5 litre twin-turbo V6 with an electric motor, which makes 437hp and 583 lb-ft torque, coupled to a 10-speed automatic transmission, which is a significant improvement over the outgoing model.
Engine mapping is altered by three dive modes, with two extra drive modes that will change damping for vehicles equipped with adaptive variable suspension.
Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard, but all models have a four-wheel-drive option with a two-speed transfer case for tackling challenging tracks.
Exterior Look
The current Sequoia is very dated, but the new Sequoia will turn heads. The front has a similar face to the Tundra, but at the rear, a crease in the fender-line starts near the rear door handles and stretches back to the taillights. It gives the vehicle an aggressive stance that backs up the new, improved power train.
2023 Trim
The 2023 Sequoia will come in five grades. Entry-level will be the SR5, TRD Sport, Limited, Platinum, and a TRD Offroad model with the new Capstone rounding off the model range.
All models in the range come with a heated front seat, a sunroof, a 360-degree camera system, and a 35cm touch screen carrying Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The top of the line, Capstone comes with 22” chromed wheels, leather upholstery, walnut dash trim, and acoustic glass to muffle outside noise in the front doors.
The TRD Prod model also gets some unique features. This model is aimed at the off=road market, so it comes with front skid plate protection, upgraded shock absorbers, a read differential lock, and 18” wheels.
Safety Features
The Sequoia comes with a whole cupboard of safety and driver aid features, as do all Toyotas. These include adaptive cruise control, collision detection with automatic braking, automatic high headlight beams, blind-spot monitor, lane departure warning, park assist with automatic braking.
Wrap Up
The 2023 Toyota Sequoia has taken a giant leap over the older models. Not only have the looks been dramatically improved, but the technology is also considerably improved. The industry anticipates that the ride and fuel consumption will also be significantly improved.
We invite you to book a test drive if you are looking for a 2023 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid in Barrhaven, Ottawa.
